Runaway Train Never Coming Back (Video)

Written by on July 2, 2008

What you see above is a concept for a more efficient train designed by Chinese inventor Peng Yu-Lun. Yu-Lun’s idea to make this train more efficient was to eliminate all stops. At first this idea seems unrealistic, but Yu-Lun has pretty much all the details worked out.

The train will have a separate cart on top of it where passengers can exit. As the train enters the station the separate cart will slide up along elevated raise and smoothly detach from the train. At the same time, the train is being attached to an entrance cart.

By eliminating stopping the train will decrease it’s energy usage vastly.
